Cobetter Lifemeta™ ST5P Pt-cured silicone pump tubing can be used in process applications such as ultrapure liquid transfer in production, aseptic filling, packaging and other single-use systems. Fluid transmission is mainly carried out through a peristaltic pump, which reduces the risk of fluid contacting any part of the pump body. Good wear resistance can reduce damage to the outer wall of the tubing, thereby improving the overall transmission efficiency of the filtration system.

Features

  • Excellent peristaltic pump life
  • The operating life in the pump is over 100 h
  • Excellent wear resistance, low flaking
  • Good chemical compatibility
  • Excellent tensile strength
  • Smooth inner wall, excellent fluidity
  • Low adsorption performance

Applications

  • Aseptic filling and dispensing systems
  • Diagnostic equipment
  • Vaccine production
  • Biological filtration and fermentation
  • Bioreactor applications
  • Shear sensitive fluid transport

Quality Standards

  • ISO 9001: 2015 Quality Management System
  • ISO 7 cleanroom production
  • Manufactured for use in conformance with cGMP
  • Each product is integrity tested prior to release
  • COA/COQ provided with shipment

What are the applications of single-use tubing?

Typical applications:
1. Filling system (such as the connection between filling bags and filling needles);
2. Chromatography/ filtration system (such as tangential flow filtration, ultrafiltration);
3. Liquid transmission (culture medium, buffer, process liquid).

What are the differences among the three types in Cobetter Lifemeta™ series?

The Pt-cured silicone tubings were developed to meet different applications.

Lifemeta™ STT Pt-cured silicone tubing can be wildly applied to fluid transmission in the bio-pharmaceutical industry and is suitable for most peristaltic pumps. It has good elasticity, tear resistance and pump performance.

Lifemeta™ ST5P Pt-cured silicone tubing is a high-precision pump tubing with a long pump life. Its excellent wear resistance reduces the wear of the tubing wall. The rigorous dimensional tolerance control enables it to achieve high precision and stability in filling applications.

Lifemeta™ ST8H Pt-cured silicone tubing features higher pressure resistance and better bending resistance, making it suitable for fluid transmission under high-pressure conditions. It is applicable to TFF, virus filtration, integrity testing of filtration components, and large-volume fluid transmission.

What are the differences between TPE tubing and silicone tubing?

1. Lifemeta™ STF TPE tubing is compatible with common-used aseptic tube welders and tube sealers, making it convenient and economical in repeatedly aseptic connections and disconnections applications, such as repeatedly feeding or sampling during the cell culture process.

2. STF tubing has lower gas permeability than silicone tubing, making it more suitable for easily oxidized liquid transmission.

How about the the chemical compatibility of Cobetter single-use tubings?

Cobetter STT, STF, ST5P and ST8H tubings have extensive chemical compatibility and can withstand a wide range of acids, alkalis, salts and organic solvents. For certain solvent resistance, please refer to the chemical compatibility section in the validation guidelines.

What is the sterilization method for Cobetter single-use tubing? And what is the shelf life?

1. Both silicone tubing and TPE tubing can be sterilized by 25-45 kGy gamma irradiation or by autoclaving at 121℃ for 30 minutes.

2. The shelf life of sterile single-use tubing is 2 years, and that of non-sterile tubing is 5 years.
