PP (polypropylene) membrane filters are mainly used as prefiltration and clarification. They are made of 100% polypropylene without laminated layer exhibiting low extractables. Hydrophobic PP membrane filters have broad chemical compatibility with pH 1 to 14, and can withstand acids and alkalis. The polypropylene membrane is a depth filtration media with a gradient pore structure, enabling higher dirt-holding capacity and extended service life.

What materials and pore sizes are available for Cobetter membrane filters?

Membrane Materials available in: PES, PTFE, PVDF, Nylon, PP, MCE
Pore sizes: 0.22 μm, 0.45 μm, 0.8 μm, 1.0 μm, 3.0 μm, 5.0 μm, 8.0 μm, 10.0 μm
Diameters: 13 mm, 25 mm, 47 mm, 60 mm, 90 mm, 100 mm, 142 mm, 150 mm, 293 mm

Do Cobetter membrane filters have a support layer? Should the front and back sides be distinguished during use?

Cobetter PTFE and Nylon membrane filters come with a support layer, while PES, PVDF, PP, and MCE membranes do not.

The membrane packaging box includes instructions indicating that the feed side should face upward.

Are Cobetter PP membrane filters hydrophilic or hydrophobic? Do they have a support layer?

Cobetter provides both hydrophilic PP membranes and hydrophobic PP membrane filters. Hydrophilic PP membranes are available in three pore sizes: 0.22 μm, 0.45 μm, and 1.0 μm.

Cobetter PP membrane filters are made of pure PP material and do not have a support layer.

Are Cobetter Nylon membranes made of 100% pure nylon material?

Cobetter Nylon membrane filters are not made of 100% pure nylon material. They consist of a nylon coating layered on a polyester support.

Are Cobetter membranes uniform in thickness and pore Size distribution?

Cobetter membranes employ precision manufacturing processes and stringent quality control to ensure uniform membrane thickness and highly consistent pore size distribution. For specific technical parameters of each membrane, please contact our customer support team.

How are Cobetter membrane filter packaged? And does each box include parchment paper?

Cobetter membrane filters are packaged in plastic boxes. The quantity per box varies with the diameter, e.g., 47 mm are packaged as 50/pk, while 90 mm are packaged as 25/pk.

The placement of the parchment paper differs by membrane material:
PES/PVDF/Pure PTFE: Each membrane is individually interleaved with a sheet of parchment paper.
Nylon//MCE/PP/Laminated PTFE: Only the top and bottom of each stack are lined with parchment paper.
