Electrodes are inserted into the bag through the connector to enable the collection and transmission of bioprocess information such as conductivity, pH, and dissolved oxygen. The electrode port is a single-use design that is easy to use and reduces the risk of contamination of the material in the bag.

Q: What is the sterilization method for the bag port? And what is the shelf life?

1. It only can be sterilized by 25-45 kGy gamma irradiation and is not resistant to autoclaving.
2. The shelf life of sterile bag ports is 2 years, and that of non-sterile ports is 3 years.
