Cobetter Lifemeta™ electrode ports are used to connect single-use bags and electrodes in the pharmaceutical industry. Electrodes are inserted into the bag through the connector to enable the collection and transmission of bioprocess information such as conductivity, pH, and dissolved oxygen. The electrode port is a single-use design that is easy to use and reduces the risk of contamination of the material in the bag.

How to choose the appropriate bag ports based on bag types?

Disc dimples barb bag port and power port are typically used with 3D liquid storage/mixing bags. Disc opposable barbs bag port can be applied to extended internal tubing requirement. Boat port and tubing bag port are suited for 2D storage/sampling bags.

What is the sterilization method for the bag port? And what is the shelf life?

1. It only can be sterilized by 25-45 kGy gamma irradiation and is not resistant to autoclaving.

2. The shelf life of sterile bag ports is 2 years, and that of non-sterile ports is 3 years.
