Q: What are the applications for Cobetter TFF MiniLab System?

Cobetter TFF Minilab System is specifically designed for use with membrane cassettes and hollow fiber filters. It is suitable for various tangential flow filtration processes, such as concentration, diafiltration, clarification, and desalting. Its application is not limited by industry or material type; theoretically, it is applicable to any TFF testing. Furthermore, the system complies with relevant FDA/GMP regulatory requirements.

Q: How to determine if Cobetter TFF MiniLab System meets process requirements?

Cobetter TFF Minilab System is not affected by the filter area, but it is subject to the following two constraints: the process flow rate must not exceed the system's maximum inlet flow rate (0-2.3 L/min for the peristaltic pump version, 0-3 L/min for the diaphragm pump version), and the total weight of the material and container must be within the balance's maximum capacity (20 kg or 6.2 kg).

Q: What tubing sizes are compatible with the TFF Minilab System?

Peristaltic pump version compatible tubing sizes: #13, #14, #16, #17, #18, #25.
Diaphragm pump version compatible tubing sizes: #17, #18, #25. If the required process flow rate is low and the tubing inner diameter does not restrict the flow (an overly small diameter may cause flow limitation and prevent reaching the set flow rate), smaller tubing sizes such as #13, #14, and #16 may also be suitable.
PCV valve compatible tubing sizes: #13, #14, #16, #17, #18, #25.

Q: How is flow rate calculated without a flow meter in the TFF Minilab System?

The TFF Minilab System automatically calculates and adjusts the speed of the recirculation pump based on the user-set flow rate and the selected tubing diameter to control the inlet flow rate. The permeate flow rate is obtained in real time through conversion from the balance's weight measurements, while the retentate flow rate is calculated as the difference between the inlet and permeate flow rates. The system supports online calibration of the pump flow rate.

Q: Can Cobetter TFF MiniLab System support online monitoring of pH, Cd, and UV?

The TFF Minilab System supports optional configuration of pH, Cd, and UV sensors for online monitoring of the corresponding parameters. The sensor configuration options are as follows: up to two pH sensors and two Cd sensors can be selected, and one UV sensor can be added.
